What is Commvault Command Center?
Command Center is Commvault's web console for setting up and running backups, restores, storage and security. It replaced the older Java CommCell Console for most work.

- Installed with the CommServe by default, or on a separate web server
What it does
Command Center is where most Commvault administration happens: adding systems to protect, creating backup plans, running restores, managing storage and setting up security. It uses defaults and guided workflows, where the older CommCell Console exposed every setting.
Commvault has added the Commvault Console as a single view across SaaS and self-run environments; the documentation uses both names.

- Backup plansA backup plan bundles what to back up, how often, where copies go and how long they're kept. It replaced storage policies, and was called a server plan before release 11.38.
