What it does
You can't protect sensitive data you don't know you have. Data Posture 360 scans data, including what's in your backups, to find personal data, intellectual property and secrets, then shows who can reach it and where it's overexposed. Commvault introduced the name in October 2026 for what was Risk Analysis.
It also acts on what it finds: applying retention, archiving or deleting redundant, obsolete and trivial data, and quarantining risky files.
Key facts

- Includes clean-up of redundant, obsolete and trivial data.
